Our history
The 1930s
Loredana Lorenzini moved from northern Italy to Rome and bought Il Palombaio as a place of peace and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The 1960s
Lydia Cremisini and her husband Giovannangelo Borghese renovated Villa Cicas after the Second World War, making it the family home. They transformed the terraced garden into the current informal garden as described in @AGPI Casale Palombaro, with the help of Architect Pejrone.
The 1990s
Camilla Borghese redevelops the farm and farmhouses with the help of her husband Hans Khevenhüller. They started the agritourism business together, including two more farmhouses, Villa Flavia in the hazelnut and olive groves, and Casale Pomodoro, in the chestnut grove.
Since 2016
Fanny Khevenhüller and Damiano Minozzi, her husband, have been running Il Palombaio together, integrating innovative ways of production.
The houses in which you are welcomed all carry the marks of our history as well as that of the surrounding area.
